Reducing CO2 emissions with ReiCat Ar-Recycling
Argon – used in large quantities worldwide: as a protective gas, especially in metal production and processing, one of the most important gases in semiconductor technology, in the production of solar cells, in additive manufacturing (3D printing), for plasma melting or, due to its low thermal conductivity, as a filling gas in insulating glass panes – the examples of applications are numerous.
The global market is still experiencing growing demand and the upward trend is continuing. In Europe alone, steady growth is expected until the end of 2030. This reflects the global market.
And although it is the most common noble gas on earth, the supply cannot be increased at will. Argon is extracted from the air. Air separation plants separate the components nitrogen, oxygen and argon, followed by gas purification. But the demand for technical oxygen is falling.
As a result, the supply of argon remains scarce and prices are rising.
Independence through argon recycling.
The good news is that although the argon used in the various production processes is contaminated, it can be recycled. In metal production, for example, up to 95% of the inert gas used can be recovered! Gaseous and solid impurities are removed. ReiCat has developed a closed-loop for the inert gas supply.
This means that our argon recycling systems not only offer you maximum availability in continuous operation, but also a very high level of environmental protection! CO2 emissions are reduced right from the start. You achieve a gas quality of more than 5.0 (99.999%) and supply bottlenecks are a thing of the past. Operating costs as well as CO2 taxes are reduced directly, within the shortest possible amortization periods.
