Innovative oxygen purification

By combining innovative ReiCat Catalyst Technology with other process engineering technologies and mechanical processes, e.g., TSA dryers, our systems purify oxygen to a quality of 5.0 / > 99.999 % or, if required, to 6.0 / > 99.9999 %.

Thanks to closed loops, the ReiCat Closed Loop Technology, our long-lasting systems remove impurities with maximum energy efficiency and minimum losses.

They are ideally suited for industrial oxygen production, e.g., through water electrolysis in Power-to-X systems. Building on 40 years of experience, our products stand for reliability, maximum availability, and low maintenance requirements.

Manufacturing

We manufacture our systems as skids in collaboration with a broad network of certified and highly specialized suppliers and partners. The most crucial aspect for ReiCat: Quality control!

Quality control is continuously performed during skid manufacturing and between the individual disciplines. ReiCat always carries out both the quality control and the final leak and functional tests.

Commissioning

We support our customers on-site during the commissioning of our systems. This includes supervising the installation of the systems, filling the tanks, performing final mechanical work, and starting up the system.
The skid construction enables quick and safe commissioning.

Maintenance service & spare parts business

How is the oxygen quality measured?

Our oxygen purification plants use redundant online gas analysis devices to ensure the desired gas quality.

What are the safety precautions taken in ReiCat's oxygen systems?

Our ReiCat gas analyzer, a specially developed HO meter, is a unique tool for monitoring gas content during purification processes. In the event of leaks or malfunctions, this safety device immediately interrupts the gas flow.

The advantages of the ReiCat gas analyzer:

What service does ReiCat offer for oxygen purification systems?

  1. Remote monitoring: We offer a remote monitoring and maintenance service for high-availability systems to prevent unforeseen but avoidable downtimes.
  2. Maintenance: We offer regular on-site maintenance of your system. This maintenance is carried out by qualified specialists who became familiar with your system during the project planning phase.
  3. Leak tests: We offer professional leak tests for our systems on-site. The tests can also be carried out with annual maintenance or inspection of the entire system. The leakage test is carried out with nitrogen or oil-free air. The detection limit is approx. 1×10^-3 mbar l/s.
  4. Spare parts: We provide a comprehensive spare and wear parts package for every system, ensuring you have all the necessary components. Thanks to our detailed system documentation, essential wear and spare parts can be dispatched quickly.

What is the difference between gas purification and gas drying?

At ReiCat, we understand gas drying to mean the removal of moisture from a technical gas. By gas purification, we mean the removal of unwanted impurities from a technical gas. Those unwanted impurities may include moisture. Gas drying is therefore a sub-category of gas purification.

Can ReiCat HighFlex technology also be used to purify oxygen in PtX applications?

Yes. Water electrolysis produces not only hydrogen but also oxygen. This green oxygen leaves the electrolyzer with impurities, mainly residual hydrogen and moisture. If the oxygen is to be used further, for example, in medicine, it must first be purified. The ReiCat HighFlex Technology, initially developed for hydrogen purification systems, can also be used in the corresponding ReiCat oxygen purification systems for PtX applications.
