Temperature swing adsorption (TSA) is used in our purification and recycling plants to dry and finely purify technical gases.

About 3 % of the gas is lost when using regular TSA technology. These losses are very costly, especially when treating expensive gases and high-volume flows. Based on over 40 years of experience, we have developed our proprietary Closed-Loop Technology. It can reduce losses and emissions by up to 0 %.

The ReiCat Closed Loop Technology enables the purification and the recycling of technical gases with no or minimal losses and emissions through closed loops.

What are the advantages of ReiCat Closed Loop Technology?

In traditional processes, gas is lost when a technical raw gas or waste gas is purified or recycled into a high-purity gas. With PSA technology (Pressure Swing Adsorption) this is 10 % – 20 %, with traditional TSA technology (Temperature Swing Adsorption) approx. 3 %.

ReiCat Closed Loop Technology enables the efficient purification and recycling of technical gases with up to 0% losses and emissions.

How does ReiCat Closed Loop technology work?

The ReiCat Closed Loop Technology ensures that the gas is recirculated during drying and regeneration, resulting in minimal to no emissions and losses. To ensure continuous operation of the TSA system (Temperature Swing Adsorption), we use at least two adsorber vessels: one is loaded while the second is desorbed. Switching between the adsorbers is controlled depending on the operating time and the system conditions.

What is the difference and the advantages of TSA (Temperature Swing Adsorption) compared to PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption)?

A PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) system separates gases, while a TSA (Temperature Swing Adsorption) system purifies gases. In contrast to PSA systems, a TSA system only requires thermal energy, which is less cost-intensive than compression energy.
