Catalyst Technology

Energy-efficient purification of gases and exhaust air at low temperatures.

40+ years of experience in the development & application of catalysts

We guarantee maximum cleaning efficiency through the use of state-of-the-art Catalyst Technology.

  • high cleaning efficiency with low energy consumption
  • low investment costs
  • long service life
  • easy handling and maintenance

As so-called “marriage brokers“, catalysts enable the chemical conversion of organic impurities into harmless components. This transformation occurs at low temperatures, with minimal energy input, and without the catalyst consuming itself. This reassures our clients of the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of our technology.

The catalysts’ high efficiency and longevity are ideal for cleaning and recycling technical gases and exhaust air. At ReiCat, we are catalyst experts, utilizing Catalyst Technology in almost all of our systems. Over our 40-year history, we have developed over 30 proprietary catalyst recipes and various patented processes based on ReiCat Catalyst Technology. Our expertise lies in the optimal design of flow-optimized catalyst beds. Depending on the product we use bulk catalysts or honey comb catalysts. We provide a process guarantee for gas purity and the service life of the filling.

Depending on the impurities to be removed, we apply the appropriate ReiCat Catalyst Technology, for example:

  • DeOxo Catalyst Technology: to remove oxygen
  • CatOx Catalyst Technology: for the removal of hydrocarbons
  • SelOx Catalyst Technology: our patented process for the selective removal of carbon monoxide
  • VitarNOx® Catalyst Technology: our patented process for the removal of nitrogen compounds from exhaust air

We guarantee maximum cleaning efficiency through the use of state-of-the-art Catalyst Technology.

  • high cleaning efficiency with low energy consumption
  • low investment costs
  • long service life
  • easy handling and maintenance

Frequently
asked questions

Does ReiCat offer spare parts and recycling services for its catalysts?

Yes. When a catalyst reaches the end of its life cycle, ReiCat takes it back, recycles it, and provides a new catalyst.

During recycling, the catalyst’s precious metal is separated from the carrier. The exact precious metal content is analyzed and certified. We will generally refund up to 97 % of the precious metal when taking back catalysts. We use the current world market price for this purpose.

The recycling and processing of precious metals makes economic sense and makes a decisive contribution to environmental protection.

How does ReiCat ensure high availability of its catalysts?

The efficiency of a catalyst can decrease over time.

Possible causes for this are

  • presence of catalyst poisons
  • thermal overload
  • surface covering due to dust or polymerization
  • mechanical damage (abrasion, pressure surges, etc.)

Temperature measurements and analyses can help detect a catalyst’s gradual decrease in performance (aging) under certain circumstances. ReiCat offers remote monitoring for high-availability systems to avoid unforeseen but avoidable downtime.

What advantages does ReiCat Catalyst Technology offer?

With over 40 years of experience in the development, production, and application of catalysts, we guarantee:

  • high effectiveness and high efficiency
  • low investment costs
  • long service life thanks to optimum process engineering and design of the catalyst bed
  • easy handling and maintenance
  • low energy consumption
