Quality control is continuously performed during skid manufacturing and between the individual disciplines. ReiCat always carries out both the quality control and the final leak and functional tests.

How is the helium quality measured?

We use redundant online gas analysis equipment in our helium recycling plants to ensure the desired gas quality.

What technologies are used to recycle helium?

Helium recycling is a complex process consisting of a combination of up to seven different methods. Depending on customer specifications, ReiCat Catalyst Technology, TSA drying, filtration, cryogenic adsorption, and other mechanical and chemical processes are used. We often use gas-gas heat exchangers, as catalytic purification requires high temperatures. The gas-gas heat exchangers reduce energy costs through heat recovery (recuperation).

What are the advantages of helium recycling?

The process metallurgy industry is struggling with ongoing bottlenecks in the global helium supply. Helium recycling makes it possible to counter the helium shortage and become independent of the market. Through recycling, gas consumption can be reduced by up to 98 %.
