Reducing the CO2 footprint and cutting costs in metal processing: ReiCat helium recycling PAM
The helium recycling system for plasma arc melting (PAM) removes all impurities that arise during the melting process. In addition to removing dust, oil and chlorine, hydrogen is also converted. In a later process step, nitrogen and oxygen are eliminated. Finally, the system improves the helium quality from 4.0 to 6.0 (99.9999 %). The closed gas cycle prevents any emissions. The ReiCat gas recycling system works with a redundant, online gas analysis for O2, N2, Cl2 and H2O for quality assurance. Amortization takes place in a very short time.
