Furnaces for the Plasma Arc Melting (PAM) of titanium alloys, work with helium or argon; the melting process works in an inert gas atmosphere. The gas is contaminated in the process. However, helium is rare and non-renewable.
ReiCat also offers a special gas recycling system for helium: a gas quality of 6.0 is achieved even with original gas qualities of 4.0 or 5.0! Helium recovery can take place during and after melting.
In addition to the sustainability effect, fluctuating availability in gas procurement can be avoided. Gas consumption is reduced by up to 98%, zero CO2 emissions are achieved and dust and various impurities are removed.
The extremely short amortization time speaks for itself.
